Description
A filigree ring shaped through the form of Jasminum sambac — Arabian jasmine, recognised in Indonesia as Puspa Bangsa, a flower associated with purity, continuity, and ceremonial presence.
The ring is formed in 18 karat yellow gold as an open, wrapping band that follows the movement of a growing branch rather than a fixed circular form. The use of gold establishes a sense of permanence within the structure, reflecting the enduring cultural presence of jasmine within ritual and ceremonial life.
Two jasmine flowers are formed in fine filigree along the band, each holding a natural ruby at its centre. The ruby introduces a point of intensity within each bloom, recalling moments of emotional and symbolic clarity within growth.
Along the band, four marquise-cut rubies are set in sequence, echoing the presence of leaves within a branching system. These points introduce rhythm and directional movement across the hand. Repeated in different scales, the ruby becomes a continuous signal of vitality.
Together, the flowers and set stones form a single unfolding structure — moving between bloom, branch, and directional growth, without a fixed beginning or end.

Handcrafted in London through wire manipulation and strand-by-strand filigree construction, using fine 18 karat yellow gold wire that is shaped and placed individually. The process is slow and controlled, informed by Indonesian craft traditions and carried through a contemporary approach to form and composition.
