Description
Description
A filigree ring shaped through the form of Jasminum sambac — Arabian jasmine, recognised in Indonesia as Puspa Bangsa, a flower associated with purity, continuity, and ceremonial presence.
The structure is formed in 18 karat yellow gold as an open band, composed as a continuous vine-like line. It does not branch or divide, but follows a single direction, holding a sense of growth within one unfolding form.
At the centre of the composition, a jasmine flower is formed in fine filigree, holding a single freshwater pearl. The pearl sits at the core of the bloom as a point of clarity within the structure.
Further along the same line, a marquise-cut lab-grown alexandrite is set into the gold. Its shifting tone under changing light introduces a sense of adaptability, where change becomes part of how the form continues.
As a whole, the composition holds a sense of progression, where growth is shaped through change rather than fixed states.
—
Handcrafted in London through wire manipulation and strand-by-strand filigree construction, using fine 18 karat yellow gold wire that is shaped and placed individually. The process is slow and controlled, informed by Indonesian craft traditions and carried through a contemporary approach to form and composition.
