Bespoke Service

"Our jewellery becomes the talking tree of a fairytale; legends and stories nestled like birds in its branches."

Inspired by you, made by us. Pusaka offers a bespoke jewellery service in London, creating handcrafted jewellery designed around your story, materials, and moments.

Whether you wish to repurpose inherited jewellery or commission custom pieces for a special occasion, we work closely with you to design meaningful, one-of-a-kind objects that reflect your personal narrative. Each piece is created as a future heirloom, intended to be worn, cherished, and passed down through generations.

Our bespoke service includes custom rings, earrings, necklaces, bangles, headpieces, and crowns—each designed through a considered process that blends traditional filigree techniques with contemporary jewellery design. Every object is handcrafted in our London studio, ensuring precision, craftsmanship, and individuality in every detail.

We also offer ongoing remodelling and redesign services for existing Pusaka pieces, allowing jewellery to evolve over time while preserving its emotional and material significance.

Bespoke Process & Procedure

Every bespoke commission follows a considered process within our London studio, guiding your piece from initial consultation through to completion. Shaped by dialogue, design development, and traditional craftsmanship, each stage is approached with care and precision.

Below is an outline of our bespoke process, including materials, lead times, booking, and the making of your piece.

We typically work with recycled silver and gold, alongside a considered selection of precious and semi-precious gemstones, to create our bespoke jewellery pieces. Clients may provide their own materials, or we can assist in sourcing them through trusted suppliers.

All materials are carefully reviewed, with full specifications and pricing provided for approval before any work begins, ensuring complete transparency throughout the process.

Creating bespoke jewellery is an intricate process. Depending on the design complexity, our workshop schedule, and existing waiting list, lead times typically range from 2–6 months, with more complex commissions taking up to 12 months.

We recommend booking your consultation as early as possible—ideally up to a year in advance of your special occasion—to ensure sufficient time for design development, craftsmanship, and refinement.

A 70% deposit is required to begin work on your bespoke piece. This can be paid securely via all major credit and debit cards, PayPal, or bank transfer. If you prefer to pay by bank transfer, please contact us and we will assist you directly.

The deposit is non-refundable, as it covers the cost of materials, design development, and time allocated to your commission, and confirms the commencement of your bespoke project.

01. BOOK AN APPOINTMENT

The initial consultation is complimentary and begins with a discussion of your budget, preferred type of jewellery, and expected timeline.

We then refine and develop your vision together, exploring design possibilities and translating your ideas into initial sketches that help visualise your bespoke commission.

02. DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT

Based on the information agreed during your initial consultation, alongside further research and development, we will present two to three design directions in the form of technical drawings, accompanied by a curated selection of materials.

Once a final design is selected, and upon receipt of a 70% deposit to confirm your commission, we proceed to the making stage of your bespoke piece.

03. THE MAKING OF THE PIECE

We believe in involving you in the making process, as it offers a deeper understanding of the craftsmanship behind your piece. Throughout production, we provide updates from design through to completion, sharing behind-the-scenes imagery as your commission develops.

Each piece is created in collaboration with specialist craftsmen where required, including stone setters, casters, and engravers, ensuring the highest level of precision and expertise at every stage.

Where stone setting is involved, a pre-setting fitting is arranged to confirm comfort, structure, and final arrangement. For pieces without stone setting, up to three fitting appointments are offered before final delivery.

While we collaborate with trusted specialists for specific techniques, all jewellery is designed and overseen by our jewellery designer-maker, Edwin Charmin, and handcrafted in our London studio.
