The collection draws on the ancestral fishermen of Pekalongan in Central Java, who once navigated the sea by starlight. Echoing the rhythms of the northern coast and the patterns found in Pekalongan coastal batik, Astra Nova transforms cycles of making, undoing, and renewal into sculptural jewellery rooted in story and symbolism.
