Description
A pair of filigree ear studs shaped through the form of Jasminum sambac — Arabian jasmine, one of Indonesia’s national flowers known as Puspa Bangsa, associated with love, purity, and auspicious beginnings, and used widely in wedding rituals and cultural ceremonies across Southeast Asia.
Each bloom is constructed in sterling silver through strand-by-strand filigree work, forming a light and compact floral structure. At the centre of each flower, fine silver filament and anther details define the botanical character of the bloom, anchoring it in its natural floral anatomy. The form is designed as a contained point, sitting close to the ear as a quiet, stable presence.
The design is completed with freshwater pearl push-on backings, introducing a soft counterpoint to the floral structure and a sense of subtle refinement at the point of contact with the ear. This rear element recalls the quiet enclosure of a bud before opening.
Together, the floral front and pearl back form a balanced composition that reflects Jasminum as a symbol of continuity, grace, and everyday ritual presence.

Handcrafted in London through strand-by-strand filigree construction, using fine silver wire that is shaped and placed individually. The process is slow and controlled, informed by Indonesian craft traditions and carried through a contemporary approach to form and composition.
